Hi guys i dont drive and the only way for me to get to places it to bike but was wondering how far the nearist train station is and how far it is by bike

Nearest station is arlesey

its a 6 mile ride, the first bit is quite flat, then its the last part to the sands thats uphill a bit which is the way you want it as the down is on the way home when you are tired

the ride usually takes about 25 mins to half an hour when ive done it
theres also a one stop shop and a petrol garage you pass, so you can get food / drink then and if your bike did get very muddy and you were worried about not getting let on the train, the garage has a jetwash
also has the air pump thing for your tyres if needed (my friend somehow got himself a puncture while waiting at stevenage station so was useful then )

Minibiker.. As your in Chelmsford, have you ridden to Danbury ?. Thats about the same distance (5 or 6 miles).

Thanks for the info guys really helps and yh i ride danbury a far bit just want to try something new
and i wish i could drive soo badly i have a license to drive just companys want silly money to insure a car so i spend the money on bikes hahahaha

Yh mate im only 18 so got a few years yet wanna get a van more than a car tho tbh

Defo go for a van if you can will be loads less hassle than messing about with a car and no doubt a bit cheaper
or if its not get an estate

Van insurance is a nightmare if you're young, def check it out first.

I get the train to Chicksands. It's not too bad a ride, depends what youre riding. ^ miles along roads back after a heavy session can wipe you out though!

Waiting for paperwork so my Van passes the Low Emission Zone in London so i can start driving again. Nightmare at the moment, £100 a day to drive anywhere!

When you get off at Arlesey (from London) you'll be on the right side of the tracks, follow the car park road up the hill to join the A507. If you take the route below through Shefford, its about 0.4 miles shorter. (it skips the petrol station out though)

When you see the Forestry commission sign for Rowney Warren on your left, you can come off the road and take the trail that runs parallel! to the road. Enjoy!
