Hi guys

I'm 41 and until 3 years ago hadn't owned a bike since I was 16!

A few weeks ago I decided I need to regularly exercise and that my middle aged spread has to go! Can't stand the gym so a bike is much more fun! Sold my ageing Specialized Hardrock and built a new bike based on a Boardman Pro frame. Had it two weeks now and love it, I've tried to go out almost everyday and now looking to join some rides.

I live in Winchmore Hill but grew up in Chingford so have some familiarity with Epping Forest even though I only ever really went as far as Pole Hill or Chingford plains on my bikes when I was a teenager!

Have arranged a ride with a much more experienced friend to Broxbourne woods next Sunday, cant wait!

Look forward to joining some of you on some rides in the near future.

Here's a pic of my bike:

Bike looks good!
Can i suggest that you move the saddle position to horizontal as leaning back like that will ultimately hurt your man bits, and worse your back.

Epping, Just get out and explore. I suggest you get to as many other places in the area to.There are lots of places to vary your riding and keeps it fun.
