Yes, its quite tight and a bit techy from memory, not as fast as some trails around that way. no trail centre facilities but worth a visit. no massive features but a cool rock slope thing at the end which was pretty cool from memory

Grew up on north Wales, its my favourite trail. If you want a proper Welsh trail this is the best your gonna get. Also Marin trail and coed y brenin are just down the road.

What Tom said. it is a very natural trail, not trail centery at all which is great to break up frpm coed y brenin/langdegla which are gradually getting tarmaced...

Hi, i was down there for four days last week with a couple of mates, had a wicked time it's a proper welsh Red trail not a trail centre Red if that makes sense. Be prepared for some long climbs but worth it for the down hill sections (grin factor) we did both loops with a little extra and completed 37.3KM. I have uploaded it to Garmin Base Camp if you have access. All I will say is ENJOY!

Sorry for the delay in posting pics of my Wales trip.

Part of my best man stag duties, was to take the groom MTBing in wales.
And then have a go on the longest zip wire in Europe.

Here we go MTBing.

Fantastic views everywhere
On the right of this pic is where we had come from.
And on the left is where we're going.

Last but one trail section haveing a real good time.

Ended up over the bars on the last section, fortunately no pics of that.

It's a wonderful trail and will go back tomorrow if time would allow.

Second part of stag weekend, pics from Zip wire.
Reached 93.1 MPH on my way down.

Cant wait for the beer.....

That Zip wire look amazing, good use of an old quarry. Who was faster, A or B? The Penmachno trail isn't bad either, if you like that then there is plenty around the Builth area (Llanwyrtd Wells is an old school MTB Mecca). My brother and I used to head off into the hills there with nothing but an OS Explorer map. No cheap GPS 14 years ago and somehow never managed to get lost!

That my type of trail riding I liked years ago when I started.
Want to go back next year to the Penmachno just great trails as they should be.

Bike was realy good.
Just the ride let it down a bit.
Enjoyed the Norco all the way round, even the coming off parts.
I didn't get any punchers or mechanical problems.

Some of the climbs are real tests, granie gear nearly all the way up.

Would recomend this trial to all.
I for one will be going again, and it won't be soon enough.
A real thanks to all the trail pixies in that area for all thier hard work.
