Hi all,
My big fear on this round is that they do it in reverse that bomb hole - climbing the vertical wall be quite something on the forth lap....
Anybody going let me know and I will keep an eye out for you.

Wanted to, but checked calendar and saw I'll be in Cornwall having a few days break and getting in a few long muddy trail runs! :)

I will be there Bob. Rode at thetford this Sunday, did all 3 trail loops and the bomb holes were not bad at all. Let hope the weather is nicer this time. It was muddy in places and pretty bumpy on the black one (now red pt.2) - almost like a BMX pump track.

Hi all,
what a race.
Dry and windy.
first lap -up for it three bomb holes bump forestry bits wood climbs every thing thrown in.
First lap 50 mins ( previous times being around 1 hour and 5 mins )
Really going well.......
second lap another 50 mins unbelieveable still going flat out ( ha ha ) but enjoying it alll including the fire tracks against the wind up hill.
THIRD lap hit a bomb hole got up the other side 100yds BANG -stop - thought the chain had slipped off, but no the CHAIN HAD BROKE . left it on the trail a good 20 feet bacvk.

Fortuneately I had a link.
unfortunately no chain splitter...
After a 20/30mins akind sole took pity on me and helped out .
Blast he put the chain on the out side of the frame - no good,
My hands where suffering from gripping the handle bars for two hours and struggled to break the chain and re site the link.
40 mins I reacon lost and demoralised.
Got going again trying to make up some time.
Got the third lap in at 3,33 mins
gone for the fourth....
Chased around by the Quad bike ( last ont he track ) (AGAIN )
got back to cheers from the crowd or was it at last presentation of prizes etc.

I reacon 21st overall in the series .

But not the end yet .
Work up Monday morning to unload car and Back tyre flat (slow puncture again.
Went out on it Monday evening and crack the rear wheel spokes are gone wobbly all over ( thought it was funny on sunday like rear wheel drive. )

all in all another visit to Pedalworxs (nic )
I think I will lay it on the A13 and lorry run it over and put it out of its misery.
got to sort something for the 16.03 14 MSG....

The race series was great .

What a day Bob, well done. I do normally have those breakers & link pliers in my bag, shame I was not there. I did not make it as I was meant to stay with kids on Sunday so I did not book it. On Saturday my wife tells me she is not going to London so i can go to the race......arghhhh, tthanks but too late. So went to Epping instead.

Maybe I shall see you at MSG ones maybe. I am only doing the Open Race (1hr :-( ) on the first one as the timing suits well with my sons race. Cant leave him around waiting for me to finish the late race.

Great stuff Bob... Never a dull moment eh...

Racing is all about the taking part and having fun.. When those trail gremlins throw in a spanner then it gets interesting...
