Yeah,Southend on sea might be an action pack town for night life.
Boys and( gals---girls)is a nice word.I just picked it up.
I think,i found the best information for Olympic games on this Webside

From all Videos, which i saw of Essex mountainbike area, might be Danbury the best spot, which we have to visit
on our Olympic tour.
Such a single track like in
Danbury, you will find a quite a few spots in netherland.
Every 30 miles ,you will find an mtb-route

Yep..Echo is local paper, used to deliver it when I was young..riding about on my Rayleigh Chopper or something...and has run quite a few stories about our local Olympics
I went and watched the Practise Event and very impressive it was, I cycled there from my home in Southend mostly along the route I posted earlier but a bit nearer the sea (or technically River) and they had bike parks to lock your bike in that had guards and seemed reasonably secure.
There are some other local spots to Hadleigh that arnt mentioned here on the trials page such as Hockley Woods (nice ride from Eastwwod to Hockly Bull Pub), Belfairs Park, Laindon or cycle paths along alot of Southend Seafront.
