+1 for Stanley Bridge, I often go in there on a Saturday just for a chat!

Very helpful, vey knowledgable and the won't do anything that doesn't need doing - if you know what I mean.

I went in a couple of weeks back to ask if he sold a tool to push the pistons back / open the gap as I was changing the pads and I couldn't get them back in - rather than selling me one, he lent me his one. Top bloke.

Not a complicated home job either

C-clamp, selection of sockets as receivers and some tape to mask the frame up first, just in case!

Was quoted 50 for the job at stanley bridge plus 59 for a full set of bearings, will stick with the shop as dont want to damage the frame

Bearing presses are not complicated and are very easy to construct yourself, you only need the basic elements which are
a receiver for the bearing or bush to be pushed into, this needs to fit flush against the frame around the outer edge of the bearing or bushing
a threaded bar/bolt that is small enough to fit through the bearing/bush center
a drift that will match the size of the bearing /bush and the threaded bar/bolt needs to pass through this
a washer and nut that fit the threaded bar/bolt. that can be used to compress the lot together

this works by putting even pressure on the bearing to push it out evenly rather than bashing it and possibly not hitting it square.
