Evening all

Iv ordered a new car and Desided I want to run a bike rack off a towbar to take Two DH bikes. Iv had a look about and the Thule 921 look to tool for the job but it isn't cheap. What have others experances been with this or any other bike rack

I'm also after a towbar if anyone know anyone :)

I run a Thule tow ball mounted rack.. Only normally take one bike but has fittings for two... Very sturdy bit of kit, already had the tow bar fitted to my car though... Easily stowed away in boot and takes seconds to fit

+1

Have the same setup, bear in mind that when it says 2 bikes it can be a bit of a squeeze. If you are going to carry 2 bikes regularly I would go for a 3 bikes one

I have one of these...

Great bit of kit.. Also means you can still tow with the rack on there.

If you're planning on towing a caravan with Alko hitch you'll need to make sure you get the relevant plate to accomodate this. As far as I know you can spec this if ordering new but I bought mine on ebay so need to get the different plate so I can tow our plastic palace.

Best price so far is still 390 for the removable tow hitch. Going to have to see my body to pay for Thule 921 by the looks of it.

My fave is this these bad boys

I have a Thule 909 Euroclassic G5 3-Bike Towball Carrier - heavy but rock solid and easy to use. Takes 2 DH bikes no probs

Hi All,

My first post, should probably introduce myself first and get out and ride as have just moved to Chelmsford. Anyway, the 921, my advice is check the wheelbase vs ratchet strap distance. I tried the 921 on my Santa Cruz Butcher, the bike was too wide and the straps wouldn't reach unless I really pulled them round, and could only get one ratchet on, which I wasn't happy with. Two bikes? Not big bikes.

I was looking at Pendle as a possibility
