What about using a separate knee and shin combo? I've got some RaceFace FRs and although the feel and comfort is good they do slip a lot. I find most knee only pads I've used stay up pretty well so maybe use some of those and get some separate shin guards.

Just a thought!

Not going to The Alps this year

I would also say get separate knee and shin guards. I use 661 rage knee guards which offer very good protection and stay in place well and comfortably. I would get those and some 661 riot shin guards!

Hiya. I had that problem with some of the hard plastic 661 knee/shinspads, I bought a 661 knee sock thingie that goes over the top of the upper knee bit and holds it all in place > http://www.powersportjunkie.com/ONE-IND ... -1621L.htm took that to morzine last year and everything held in place..bit hot though.

It did the job although since then Ive done away with knee/shin guards and gonna use just knee ones...and hope the pedals stay away from my shins..Ive got the new 661 Rage pads.

I see 661 do seperate soft type shin pads that I think would stay up better or the new Ramage knee/shin should be good. > http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Sear ... h=661+shin

Yeah full length shin and knee, slip a bit but not right down, they pretty much sit on your shoe so stops them sliding, and have adjustable straps so can pull in tight as you want..
