Good idea! However prices may need tweeking. And wix sites are slow loading for me even on a 80Mbps connection. Are you going to set this up as a proper business, limited company and everything? That costs £70 to companies house. Are you only going to rent out GoPro's?

That is a good idea, my only concern for you would be how you insure its return run to you.
if they are posting a go pro it won't take very long for a courier to work out that there is a go pro in the packet
can you insure on a prepaid envelope?

Only Go Pro's as i have access to a couple.
The Wix thing was really simple to use, but then if i want certain features its gonna cost a lot!
Will look at other avenues after i've gauged what interest there is.

What Prices do you think need tweeking?

Andy, it would be sent recorded and insured.

i mean on the return from the customer.

i would also consider a loyalty scheme/build up to buy.

might be worth talking to go-pro

Thats a good idea, X amount of rentals in a year and you get to keep it?

If it takes off, i'll ask them for a supply.

There is a similar business where they hire out high quality video cameras so people can film there own weddings......they also offer full editing service....might be worth searching for them and see how they get round the insurance/delivery problems!

Good idea. But be sure of your business model, how many rentals per day will make it pay? stock? how much do you want to pump into this at the start? and think worst case senario if it you hit problems, for instance if people don't return the kit. Can you afford to chase them through the small claims courts. How many can you afford to write off? You don't want it to turn into an expensive hobby.
And I would lose the hotmail account, not great for a company to use hotmail as a primary email account.

Best of luck.

The main issues you have is it's quite a small market, and anyone that wants to use one would probably just buy one as their not that expensive. Worth a try though i suppose....

good idea though.
