I ride its big brother the Gambler and have found the Scott bikes to be well put together - good tolerances and serviceable parts. Have never ridden the Voltage but worth checking out this thread

Going back to the debate about weather or not to buy it then the one thing I would say is that, what you have will certainly do for what your riding - but if you want to do more and try more DH Fr orientated stuff then the voltage will serve you well.
Knowing I have the big bike means I commit to trips and away days to get full use of it and as such my riding has progressed. However its easier to learn skills and new stuff with less travel. The fun really begins when you can translate the skills learnt on the short travel bikes to the big bouncers as they just let you get away with lots!
