Is there any point in buying XT in most cases anymore? This stuff looks awesome.

I'm no expert nor am i a label junky but my Deore runs that dyna-sys stuff apart from the shadow rear mech and its damn good !!

Bringing shadow, clutch and the ice tech stuff to that price point is really superb.. im sure xt will have more features on top of those to make that lustworthy

Electronic alfine looks interesting too.

I was debating the same thing as i was running SLX.. and on monday changed the front and rear derailleur/ chainset and chain to XT and there was a noticeable difference straight away it was a much more responsive gear change..and yeah the xt is a bit lighter.. not that is gonna make to much difference. but im sure the 2013 XT range will be as good (or a notch above) as the 2013 SLX not that there is anything wrong with SLX its good gear.............. :thumbup:
