Hey all,

Anyone up for showing a couple of newbies to this forum the joys of Epping Forest?

Neither of us has ridden Epping before but have a reasonable level of fitness and skill (ridden Afan and Coed-y-Brenin a few times).

Keen to see what the area has to offer if anyone is about.

I may well be out and about on Sunday for a chiiiiiillllled ride as im returning from injury. I cant commit to it yet however as im giving it till sat Am to judge if its a sensible thing to do. There is usually a good crew out on Sundays - there certainly was last week.

What are conditions like in the forest right now guys?

It was pretty much bone dry on Wednesday even after the rain so I expect it will be the same over the weekend.

I'm not sure what day I'm out yet but depending on how long my morgage meeting is (hopefully it won't be long) will determine the day I'm out.

If it's long then I'll be out on Sunday otherwise I could make bothv days if it's short.

I am trying to get out for a fun ride with my new forks!!! So I am keen for chilled ride, to test setup etc.

What time? I know you lot normally prefer 9?

Sram sent me new revs under warranty but they 160mm instead of the 140's I sent. Apparently they will settle into 150, so let's see Sunday. How is the hand mate?

Revs are 150 max i think mate so they should be sweet

Hand feels good so im happy to lead a ride out from 9 or earlier if anyone fancies it - i shall be uber unfit however. Ill need to be heading off about 11 tho

Yeh, this year they came out as 150's, so I am stoked with the extra 10mm!

Woken up with ear ache, no riding this morning unfortunately.

Hi guys

Couldn't make it in the end this morning, remembered that the last time I rode I knackered my chain. Must order a new one while the weather is still half decent.

Hope the ride was good, great weather for it and gutted I couldn't make it out, maybe next weekend.
