Yes there will be, i believe the next one to do is Belhus loop?
But we were waiting for a leader as i've never ridden there.

I'm happy to do another Thorndon or Hylands one if wanted?

I know the main loop but dont want to steal Festa's thunder so to speak.
The loop is mainly gravel tracks with a farm track and 3 biggish drops thrown in and a few bits of road. You can run the" Ingrebourne Bike Park" mid ride which is a section of purpose built single track with a switch back climb up a hill and bermed decent the other side and a bit of a pump track. 5 minutes for a lap at most I recon and fun rather than challenging.
The whole ride is really a leg stretcher but was rather pleasant last week on the sunny evenings.

Not happy i'm gonna miss it!

Theres plenty more weeks for riding

If whoever is leading gets all the details (date, meeting point, etc) together, I'll happily put another thread together for it....

Could be keen on a thorndon ride guys - never been out there before. OK to join in?

Either morning this weekend at sparrow's fart (aka: early) would be sweet as.

PS: anyone driving out from London? I'll pitch in for gas, banter and I promise not to back-seat-drive.

I could show people the loop Sunday, "lead" would probably not be an accurate term!
Either that or it will have to be July as Im packing the house up next weekend and in Cyprus for the 2 after that.

Shall we say this Sunday 9:30am Belhus Country Park Car Park

How far do people want to ride? the full circular route is 17miles with about 3 miles of road at the end from the RSPB to Averley.

Alternatively we can do the route to the RSPB which as about 12 miles then more or less retrace the route. About 24 miles in total.
Im no xc speed demon and dont do hills very well so quite a steady pace.

We can make the decision over a brew at the RSPB if the weather isnt being nice

Festa is the footbridge over Averley bypass open do you know? saw the road was still closed today and have heard its down to the bridge eroding?
