Hi,

New to this forum and just wanted to ask about any xc loops near Chelmsford?

I rediscovered Danbury yesterday after resolving myself to long drives to Surrey Hills or Wales to get my biking fix! It was good fun, and a great little training ground.

I have seen a couple of posts mentioning night rides and bigger xc loops than just the copt hill over at Danbury, and also saw some information on rides through hylands park and through to Highwood / Blackmore.

Do you guys have gpx files of these routes? I'm guessing they are mostly footpaths and bridlepaths? I suppose the best way is to come along on a ride but I just wanted to ask the question.

I assume Warley is still dead after last years flattening? I spent a long time digging there 10+ years ago, shame to see it all gone.

Thanks

Dave

Yeah, as said above you can check out the routes under our Strava profiles (I am there as Whytey MTB) so you have an idea in advance. XC Sunday morning rides at Danbury are your best bet, from the large carpark at the Common.

Epping would be the next one for XC where you can easily get 20mile+ of riding.

Hello!
I'm new here to the forum and to mountainbiking in the area.
If I've followed everything correctly on here, there's a ride in Danbury tomorrow morning? If I manage to organise myself I was thinking of coming along! :) How many turn up? And what time do you meet? What time do you finish on average?
I have no idea where the Common is as I don't know Danbury and I've never driven there. Does anyone have an exact address?
