Alright chaps..

It's time I had you guys pop over here for a jaunt around one of my usual local routes..

I haven't got a light on my bike as yet so to get the most of some of the trails we really can't leave too late..(6:30 :6:45 really the latest)

I can look into the best set-off position if I've got a few takers for the evening... But it would probably be from either Southend Tesco (or thereabouts) or Rayleigh/Eastwood (kicking off with Grove woods, etc to start)

Anybody fancy it?

Well it could be pushed out to 7pm set-off but we'll need to make sure we keep our eye on the time and light..

It's the twilight that gets me in the fast wooded bits... seems to be getting harder to spot the line and avoid the trees..

Just been looking and to get the most from our time, it would be best to meet in Grove woods carpark...

Closest Postcode I could find is 'SS6 8UQ' and if you look on maps, the carpark is just to the east of that position, down the seemingly unmade road..

From what I can find online, the carpark doesn't close at any time whereas the other position I was thinking of has a barrier which might be down too early..

Ok ill text or call you tomorrow but should be able to get there for 6:30

You Starting and finishing at Grove ?

Don't forget bring full face can do some jump there too .)

Seeing as more than likely at least one would be arriving by car and parking there I'd plan to start and finish there...

I'm planning on riding the 4 miles XC to get there to meet but would guide you guys back there to finish.. and then do the return XC to mine..

If we had more light I'd be suggesting meeting nearer my place and heading XC to get there but it would just swallow some of our light time.

Yep, should have mentioned, just by start place is BMX track... it's in a bit of a state but plenty of operational jumps still usable

I changed tyres (harder than it sounds ) and brought my bike into work so should be ok for 18:30
