I know it's a bit late but I'm heading out early for a 3hr ride, meant to be 50% on-road for speed and 50% off-road. So I'm heading out from Enfield and going to Brickendon, if anyone wants to meet up let me know. I have never ridden in the woods there so don't expect me to know where I'm going but I knwo there are loads of bridleways along the way so it will be a mixture of road sprint/high cadence and then playing in the woods.

First MSG race is in 3 weeks and I have been eating far too many burgers over winter so I need to try to not have MaccyD's bfast before I go :D

Does anyone know where the best offroad route towards Brickendon is from around Cuffley way? I'm sure I saw some mtb'ers coming out at the bottom of Darnicle hill along the railway line last weekend. Was thnking maybe there is a path near Cuffley station?

If anyone knows let me know, thanks.

if you ride from cuffley into goffs oak then you can nip into broxbourne / wormley woods from there (end of newgate street road, about a 10-15 min cycle from cuffley station) and head down to brickendon through them

not 2 sure of any other ways or paths from the station ;)

Thanks for this, you just confirmed what I came up with from my half hour Google mapping session :D I'm riding from Whitewebbs way and was going to head to Cuffley but I'll go a different way now. I was out last weekend on my tri bike and saw loads of mtb'ers about so I'm sure I'll find some 'friends' - I'll make sure I have my long ponytail visible out the back and whack on some lipgloss and I'm sure I'll get an escort on to Brickendon
