Hi Alex,

I will be heading to Epping but won't be till about 10ish I wouldn't say. Planning a chilled out ride as i'm just getting back into riding after a fair few years out and it will be more exploring to as will only be my second time there. Bearing in mind how dry it has been to you guys recommend wearing clear / light lensed glasses? Think i may need to get myself a pair as at some points last weekend the dust was catching in my eyes.

Sorry guys, I didn't see this until just now. I got home really late from work Thurs and late back from gym so didn't look at this before my planned sesh with Noel on Friday morning.

Noel had to cancel last minute so I rode from HB to Pole Hill at 7am - the trails are fast, I wasn't riding last summer so loving the dust  I got a flat around Connaught waters after about 1hr of riding but embarassingly didn't have the right inner tube or pump for that matter as I forgot I was on a new bike and should have sorted new spares to suit

I ended up going back with my other half around 2pm for another 1.5hr ride but it was pretty hot by then. and HB was full of the crazies. Saw two 'lovely' :? ladies totter up to Carl's in tight pink dresses, feathers in hair, pancake slap, massive shoes, designer handbags, curves in all the wrong places and a certain 'twang' to the voice - I was dying on the inside, you should have seen the looks from the other mtb'ers and tea hut regulars - priceless. Only at HB. Glad to get into the forest away from that for sure....

I did whipps x and back in the afternoon, bumped into Jon on the way back. Loved the ride although on my own lol, the only real problem
was a staff bull terrier going for me with 4 big musclebound pricks fucking clueless as what to do. I managed to get the bike between me and the brute as it kept circling and snapping at me, and then started a bit of abuse at the 4 w@nkers (unlike me). When you see a dog owner scared to go near his dog its pretty worrying, I certainly didnt fancy an off with the dog and the 4 of em ,I was onto a loser there lol. As I rode away the owner says I dont know what happened there mate he never done that before. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh TW@T

Lol Ninja. I had numerous dogs chasing me around Pole Hill which was a real pain - I mean it was bad enough climbing the damn hills let alone worrying if the dogs were going to bite me! Didn't sound as bad as yours though, at least you didn't get bitten.

Tbh I was to mad to think about reporting it, but did tell a few walkers as I rode past. The dog should of been muzzled
