Hi all.
Me and a friend will be visiting Danbury for the first time this Saturday 22nd and was looking for some helpful tips. I tried clicking the links to the car parks but it took me to Banbury on Google maps so had any one for a post code for the car parks? Also is there any where near by to get a hot meal after we are done?
Thanks for any help.

Look up The Cricketers pub, Danbury.

Hope you enjoy your ride.

Theres acouple of pubs on the main road in to danbury (grinfin and bell) that are good as well. Three car parks, one on maynes raod (as part of the playing fields, does have height restiction on enterance), two on Bricknacre (small one by cricketer pub, larger one ferver down the hill). Start of dh runs are by copt hill road down the dirt track by the pink house (on a side note, could you make sure you don't go on to the grass by the house, its their propity and last time i was down there i had to tell a number of people to keep off it, don't want the place closed down ect). Have fun

There are at least 3 car parks very near, some close at dusk so don't get locked in !. Shop on main road and various pubs too. Don't forget there are about 4 main runs and lots of variations, some people just get stuck doing the same one over n over, worth doing them all slowish first time as there are various 'surprises' on the way, including steep bomb holes that you do not want to chicken out about half way.

It will be too difficult to say head in said direction to ride the xc parts, local knowledge is needed to find the good bit

That's fine. We don't mind spending the day riding round in circles.
