Hi all,

I'm a 28yo Italian guy living in Surrey Quays, London.
I would say I am a beginner, maybe a bit more but for sure far far far far away from being an expert and really really slow :D
I've always been in love with everything that has two wheels, had motorbikes when living in Italy and most of all I've always loved motocross - but never had the money to do it.
This is why I have decided to start cycling mtb - I'm not riding an engine but at least I can enjoy off road with almost no cost.
I have just bought a second hand Voodoo Wanga - maybe not a thunder but still funny, solid and with good specs for the price.
I hate "normal" cycle paths and always looking for muddy trails, the muddiest the better :D It feels so rewarding going back home completely covered in mud
Anyway, looking forward to meet friendly people to cycle with and have a laugh. I'm free weekends only
;)

Hei Mauro,

I live in New Cross Gate, minutes away from Surrey Quays. What sort of mtb you do?

I know a few pump tracks and race courses around the area.

I try to get to bike parks out of London in the weekend but often hit a pump track after 7pm during the week. Let me know if you'd like to give it a try!

Mtt

At the moment I'm going to Abbey Wood, it's a couple of stops after Woolwich, 15-20 min by train from Deptford.
There are normal paths around the wood (but you can't go that fast, there are people as well) and a very small pump track but I've tried it and I felt like an idiot, I would need to learn more things first. I have tried a couple of small jumps and even ended up with my face on the ground
Don't like much the idea of pump track as I would get bored I think about riding "in circle" (maybe just because I can't ride them properly! ) and I'm looking more for trails with different landscapes and difficulties. I like freeride/enduro, exploring etc, but I will need more experience for that.
