Hello all. Am visiting family for a few weeks (staying in Sawbridgeworth), know the area well but no idea about bike trails.

Have a Specialized hard tail, looking to get out for some xc.

The only bit of riding I know in Sawbridgeworth is the tow path along the river, you can go up to stortford one way, and up to harlow the other.

You can get onto the towpath near the train station. As your're approaching the station from the town side, you go over a bridge. Access is next to the bridge I'm pretty sure.

Thanks mate but done those already. Nice rides but soon bored of them. Rode to and around Hatfield Forest today. Problem is I live in Chamonix, everything is so flat here.

Haha yes it is very flat

Enfield, Danbury or Warley may be better options for you if you can get to them ? certainly more exciting on a HT !
