As the subject says...

I need to look to buy some spare pads and the discount for buying 4 packs makes sense.. 4 X packs Sintered = £22.99

Another option would also be the group buy price at £5.35 per pack for orders over 10.

I'll guage interest from this thread and if enough of us, we can get an order arranged.

Cheers,

Ev

Order list so far....

Ev: 2 X Packs / S2 (1 Sintered, 1 Kevlar)
James: 2 X Packs Kevlar
Clay: Possible

So that's me and James so far then :)

I don't know what a 'pack' contains... I assume it's a pair of pads...

I'll check what i've got left and let you know. I will only want the red kevlar ones though, can you mix compounds in the order as well as models?

A pack is a pair. Just got 4 sets though of sintered! Seem to be good so far.

If sufficient need, we could use the currently discounted Kevlar group price £7.50 reduced to £5.50 which also allows Sintered to be selected in order.

Otherwise it's the £5.35 unit price for Sintered which allows Standard to be selected in order.

I'll have a couple of sets as both bikes will need them in the future.. Would rather have the Kevlar to be honest.

That's two sets of A3 please Ev

Im going to need some at some point. The last lot of brake pads I bought were for cantilevers so havent got a clue what a sintered pad is, would someone mind inlightening me as to the difference and does it make any difference to the disc rotor its self?

Organic - Good bite from cold, good performance in the dry, dont last as well in the wet.

Sintered - Harder wearing, better when warmed up (IMO) - good option for the UK

Kevlar - Like organic but harder wearing, apparently the best of both worlds.

Sintered pads are good, get them nice and worm when first bedding them in, i.e find a nice hill and go down it a few times breaking hard to bed in the pads... The superstar ones stop the howling banshee squeal when wet...good for our unprodictable weather we have...

Ev,

When you looking at ordering these up??.... After today's little foray to Bedgbury I'll be needing to replace the pads soon :o :o

So I'll be needing Y7 type x2 packs in Sintered please :D :D :D
