Hi,

I know there's a post on this a little further down the page but I thought i'd get some advise on knee and or shin pads.

I thought it was about time I stopped buying bits for the bike and brought some bits that would stop me hurting myself lol

I have a budget of about £60 and will mostly be using them for DH/FR but will also use them in the summer for some Trail/XC so the question is do I buy Knee and shin together
(Something like this http://www.evanscycles.com/products/six ... s-ec034283)
or do I buy them separate
(http://www.evanscycles.com/products/six ... s-ec034285
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/six ... s-ec034287)
or would you just go for knees.

I was looking at 661 but if you know any other that are better for about the same price, suggestions would be appreciated

Cheers :)

I would go with the knee and shin all in one less hassle. I picked up the nukeproof knee and shin guards last summer and they have saved me a few times. Everyone raves about the 661s but the nukeproof have that important ride and forget factor.

I've been looking at the "one industries" knee and shin to replace my nukeproofs

I might order them and the lopes ones from crc and send back which ever I dislike

From experience I would just go for knee pads. The only damage you can do to your shins is from your pedals anyway.

See what you mean, though I rarely slip pedals. With decent shoes and pedals I haven't found it happening really at all.
