Does anyone else have the pain in the ass feeling when you upgrade something and it ends up having a knock on effect somewhere else on your bike and you need to upgrade something else!?

My example today- I was pretty fed up after chicky that my chain became allergic to my cranks over the logs at chicky, so decided to have a rather early birthday prez and sort out my drive train.

Got a new RM, got a chain device, got goodridge cables...and the went about fitting them.

Sooner than tinnitus appearing after a metal concert did I find that my 3rd crank was too big for the device and my 2nd was warped (!) and kept spitting the chain!!!!!

DOH!!!!!

So then the upgrade of the crank has been ordered... a 38t upfront single now.

Still after spending a small amount it's another tenner i could have done without spending, but

Damn my gears shift sweet now on the rear...wish i could ride it full on now. It's going to be a long few days!
