I bought a full face MX helmet for £30....check the shops in Leigh on sea. Same weight as £100 lids by 661 et al. Also has removable and washable liners!

Also, "just one last one" is my biggest superstitious phrase. Never go when that pops in your head. It's when your tired and not in full tilt.

Aye.....never say 'last run'. ALWAYS go home when you think that. This is why I randomly leave towards the end of the days riding. Im not superstitious with anything other than this.

And another for MX lids....I ran them for years. Started in the 90's when a decent MTB FF cost hundreds. I only a proper MTB oner now as I was given it.

661 and T.H.E do good sub 100 lids - if you can get a light well vented MX then consider that but mtb specific ff can be had cheap as well.

And if it's got that gold ACU sticker, it certainly is good enough for all biking.

I think that the only helmets worth getting are £hundreds for a gucci carbon one or you're paying extra money for something less strong and marginally lighter.

Personal choice but that's my logic.

I had a friend crash out on the little log drop to the left of the Dual run. He watched me go off it and said "so you just sorta fall of the end" then decided his wheels weren't ip to the job and employed his face instead!

He's never been back since. Looks like you enjoyed it though!
