Gonna do the 'Grips' rude this Tuesday 13th.

Leaves from outside 'Grips' bike shop in Rayleigh at 7pm sharp.

Got my lights now so should be better for me this time :)

Anybody fancy it?

Don't think I'm quite there fitness wise at the moment. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

Well that was horrible....

For last couple of days I've been sneezing, etc. but it felt mire like hayfever type thing...
But headed out with the pack and really started to struggle, to the point I really couldn't catch my breath :(

Ended up peeling off at an opportune point where I could head back to Rayleigh before too far away.

Was getting a kind of cramp in one leg too which was horrible :(

Even driving home I felt rough, glad I bailed out.

Anyway, DX light was brilliant, other ebay one on helmet ...hmmm, not sure.

Did you get just the one XML T6 or are you running a pair?

I just got the one... I'm ordering a better helmet light from them today as the one I got from ebay was pants, far too dim.

I'll wait to see if that then does the job before ordering another XML T6.. Only real thing that annoyed me was that, as I had mounted it on the bars by the stem fixing, the light was offset from centre...

Actually, just checking the helmet one and it says 1 x 18650 / 1 x 17670 rechargeable battery... Don't know how I'm supposed to charge that...

Hmmm, will have to have more of a look round the site. .

Yeah, a fair few there last night, think around 16.
This time though, when we arrived in the carpark of Hockley woods they split into 2 groups, a fast group who were gonna do the Hockley loops non-stop and the not-so-fast group to make their own way round. That in itself affected the atmosphere of the evening (and I was already suffering at that stage).. It also meant there was a fast group hammering round and crossing the same route at times which presented a fresh hazard.

Anyway, I was so wrecked, I was noticing I wasn't paying enough attention to the trail ahead so that was a real indication to bail out before I ended up in a tree or worse..

TBH, if I can centre the T6 (replied to your PM) then it's plenty bright enough I think..

Just gotta sort a good one for the lid.. Looking at the offerings on DX but need to find out about charging the batteries they run on..

Ev. You can get the magic shine 900 lumen p7 light on eBay now around 32 quid.
I've got one for the bars and one for the helmet.
Here's the item number from eeb:- 170514393420
