Hi my name is Si.

I used to play Rugby at a high level but I tore my ACL twice, so cannot play anymore. I have always been into MTB but never really taken it seriously.

My Uni pal lives in north Wales and likes to get out on his bike often. in the past year or so i have been up there and rode the 25km Marin trail, Betws-y-Coed and last week we rode the 21km coed Llandegla Black trail.

I have always been pretty fit so never have too much problem keeping up on the climbs, I just brick it on the steep down hill sections! so need some practice.

Anyway i live in Takeley, which is close to Dunmow, Bishops Stortford and only 20mins from Epping. if anyone would like to go for a ride please let me know. I will also keep an eye on the posts.

I am also massively into the VW scene so if anyone shares that interest and wants to hook up for shows etc give me a bell.

Cheers Si.

Welcome Si, not too far from me. I'm in Braintree. Sometime ride the Flitch way for a leg stretch and others on here do too. There are frequent rides at Epping but the may slow down a bit as it gets muddier. If there is a ride over your way that I'm going to lifts could be shared.

Hi mate, I have had to turn a little more sensible in my old age but I have had more than my fair share of type 1,2's and 3's, even ventured into the world of Porsche:shock:
One day when I've got rid of the kids ill get another type 3 fastback, was my favourite and if I ever win a large amount of money a 4wd turbo'd bug will definatly be my play car!

So what do you have now?

Lovely Green.. like a sage green with a hint of cream mixed in, white roof, white leatherette interior, slammed, EMPIs.

Will have to dig out a pic of each
