I'm doing a bit of a ride for an hour or so at 18.30 with a mate who's getting fit and then gonna do the course . Probably be around 20.00ish when the dog walkers and rangers have gone.

Not racing tomorrow but will be there with camera to get you some decent shots( well that's the plan I'm no paparazzi ) so put up your numbers and I'll do my best. Good luck and remember it's not the taking part it's the winning that counts!!!
Something I'll never do so I won't bother trying! ;)

Good luck to all those taking part. Maybe I'll do it next year. At least the weather seems ok!

Wow, what a tough race today.
The name lived up to it's repotation! There certainly was some leg busting climbs, glad I was only in the 1 hour race

But there was also some real flowy downhill/singletrack bits, annoyingly tho not enough room to get pass slower riders

Had my best result of the series with a 22nd, which was a surprise cos I knew I would struggle on the hills and also lost the chain twice, I think the 2nd time it bent something as it was a bit tricky shifting gear after.

Weather stayed dry aswell!

Just got back from a nice long walk with the family to stretch the legs (and buy beer nachos and chocolate!)
I enjoyed the race as I could settle into my own pace and enjoy the track.
Got cramp on the last big climb on the last lap and had to sit down and stretch it out, but for the last two laps I had to cruise and walk some sections as just had nothing left in my legs.
I don't know if I will continue in the 2hr or not? The guys at the front are in a different league and I don't think I could ever compete at that level. Hmm:?
