Just got back from what will now be known as 'Javi's Hill Hell'

Really good. In a horrible, grinding 'where the f#*k is the top?' way. Pain compounded by the fact that Javi's real quick, both up and down (hit a personal best 52-odd km/h downhill on his second lap apparently. I was shoving carbs down my neck at the car by this point. One loop and one 'bonus' downhill and climb was enough for me today).

Oh, further pain also gained by Javi slightly de-touring down some steps into a housing estate by accident. So we did an extra 2k-ish. Half of which was, yup, uphill.

Feels great to have your ass kicked sometimes. And the fact that I stuck (more or less) on Javi's wheel on the climbs made me pretty happy - even if it looked like he was taking it rather easier than I was. I was working for every last turn of the cranks a lot of the time...

Will I be back? Indeed. It's a proper tough loop the first time out, but it will get easier. It will. IT WILL. I hope.

Haha!! I still made the same mistake on second lap. 'First left, second right' it's what I should've done.
