I've got some spare 4x4 tyres at home... May be better stability for you ;-)

Just raced at Crowthorne for the Gorrick Endura Autumn Classic Round2.

The 4 mile course was superb! One of the best ones ever ridden. NO MUD AT ALL, lots of twisty singletrack and a technical "roller coaster" type section where momentum and good cornering skills were more important than strength. Plenty of roots and the climbs were short. By the time your legs hurt you were already at the top. Some bumpy fast flowing descents and good grip overall.
I had very bad luck when I punctured at the end of first lap. Being a short course I decided not to pack puncture repair kit so I had to run to the start (was very close) to grab it. An old man was already standing by my bike. It took us ages to find the puncture and later the pump refused to work. No one seemed to carry one and suddenly it worked. It's the second time this happened. Lost already 23 minutes or so (1 lap). Anyway, it was such an enjoyable course that didn't mind much. I've got the whole race recorded, including the wrong turn and the puncture chapter

Now looking forward for Brass Monkey Series round 1 in 2 weeks time.

I was 17 out of 18  ouch!!
results

Chris, Rich spotted me on my last lap but couldn't talk to him. He run Open male 3 laps, I think.

Well done matey! I didn't even know there was a race on!
The camera recorded the whole lot  I hope there's some crazy overtaking moves in there?

Overtaking? Not really! :(
The start was fast, as usual in this short races. I barely could keep the pace and decided to find my own pace and see if I could find cadavers on the last 2 laps. A girl who started 1 minute later than our category overtook me 10 minutes or so after the start but I could keep the pace during the roller coaster section. Then in the fire road she left me behind. Then the puncture...We were only 18 in this cat, not many riders. Then some women, some elite...that was all. I wanted to have done 30-39 years old cat early in the morning (lots and lots of riders) but there were no trains.

Footage soon :ugeek:

Sounds a pretty tough category Javi - even without the puncture! Glad the course and conditions made up for it and you had a good time though.

Looking forward to the video evidence!

Jordan, it was really tough cat but all cats are tough. I think 4 hours races are more mid paced and I can do much better.
VW,it's Mud, Sweat& Gears style with better courses and the 4 hours option

This is just the last part of the race. Now that I can edit clips I'll upload one with the very best!

Quality is a bit poor but next time I'm going to try something different in the cam
