Good advice Noel, thank you.
I'll be the first to admit I was pushing as hard as I could. I always train/try hard and whilst I haven't cycled since 2007 I am in the gym 3 times per week, and also do a little bit of boxing.
The lungs were willing, the legs weren't able! I can't spare much time for cycling during the week but will definitely be better prepared next time.

I have also bought 2 bottles of Kool 'n' Fit, as recommended by Laser- so again, thank you for your advice.

Gary; I have some sports drink at the moment but as soon as that's gone I'll be straight onto the High 5!

I'm like a sponge at the moment- I have so much I need to learn.

If you are in the South Woodford area, give me a shout and you can come around to my studio and we can have a chat if you like?

Not so much, I'm afraid.
But I'm hoping to start doing a lot more riding so perhaps that'll change soon?

When you say studio, do you mean studio (flat) or studio (photographic)?
Sadly my modeling days are well over if it's the latter!!!!

Ah, that makes sense.
I'm afraid I probably couldn't afford the rates- or be able to justify the costs.

I'm a 'jack of all trades' master of none kinda guy, probably the worst kind of client for a PT?!
But your help, time and advice is very much appreciated.

I wasn't planning on charging you mate. I was just offering some help if you were in the area.

Good luck with the riding mate.

Shame you're not near Stortford, you could join my crowd, we train two or three times a week and do one sparring session a week.

Sadly I'm not much cop at boxing either!
I'm 28 now and only started about 2 years ago, just once a week as a bit of variety from going to the gym and lifting weights.
Had two fights last year and lost them both- although I feel I won the second fight.

I've not had any interest in fighting again but I was actually very close to taking a short notice bout this Friday.
My club is boxing at the Troxy (Limehouse) this Friday and an opening has come up. If I'd been at the club on Sunday and not at Thetford I'd have been offered the fight, and probably would've taken it.
Instead I only found out about it last night when I went to pick tickets up.

Yep, like I said- jack of all trades, master of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!
What level are you guys at?

Riding, I break as many bones as I do parts on my bike :?

As for boxing, I boxed for my corps in the Army, now train a few guys as I'm too old to hold a licence. :shh:
