I'm going Epping tomorrow to try and find some trails. so if you see me looking lost on a red ventana
please point me in the right direction.

Thanks for reading and it would be nice to here from you.
i don't want to look like billy no mate's on here. lol

Welcome matey...

Take a look at the rides section, both XC, DH and jumps all catered for.. best place to see who's out and about and then go meet up...

Hi there, I'm a semi-novice mtber who lives in Hornchurch.
I'm just coming back to cycling after a few years away so keen to find local rides and routes, too.

I don't know many local rides but about 5 years ago when I used to cycle more regularly there was a reasonable route starting at Pinewoods Pub, Collier Row and running into Hainault Forest. Not epic, but ok and only 15 mins from Hornchurch.

Hi there, a 20 min ride from hornchurch is Bird lane/Warley gap Brentwood. there are two trail areas just behind fords and the ski slope.
the one behind fords is mainly bomb holes with some single track. the other is on quite a steep hillside and someone has spent a lot of time and effort building some major jumps etc. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
have fun! Andy

High Dean and welcome to the forum. What time you thinking of heading over to epping and how long you looking to stay?

Hi Dean

As the guys mentioned... loads of rides going on here. No 'official rides' at a set time but everyone is happy to show new people around and to have them join rides posted on the forum.

Where do you ride your DH bike?

Good stuff! Loaaaaaaaaaaaads of trail riding in Epping... but give it time and it takes a while to learn the forest... tagging onto rides is deffo the best way to find your way around

Also this time of year its not in the best shape but there is good stuff if you look in the right places.
