@SurferEv Mine was the tiny 2.5, ok on a run, but couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding in general. When I got it the place tried to sell my the V10 model lol

@Eccles thanks for the info, worth doing for miles I guess, but I really like a bit of fun on the way. I always remember one of my bmx when I was about 16, I made a side hack for it, so much fun, awesome for fetching a lot of beer from the off license too :) The best part was a mate was on the side and we hit a very steep hill (going down). Well we were unable to stop at the bottom, straight across the road and took out half a front wall lol I know its so dangerous, but at that age I had no fear!

Indeed.. Tested the 2.5 OilBurner but didn't like it. We don't do high mileage each year too so I was able to go the petrol route and added bonus was I don't have to stand at the smelly pump any more :)

V10 though.. I was also tempted when I was looking but feared crazy bills, etc..

And as for your BMX escapades... Haha.. I think you'll fit in just fine on our rides ;)

Blimey, I can see 2012 is gonna be an interesting and productive year for you. :)
We regularly ride Hockley (train from Wickford if no solution for car), Thorndon (again, train from Wickford) and many other spots around the area.

You'll be more than welcome to come join in a ride any time. Just keep your eye on the 'rides' section to see what's being organised each week.

May be an ignorant question but could you put roof bars on your BM to take a bike carrier?

..and Ill also add..Danbury from Wickford..being carless..thats how I get there, train to South Woodham Ferrers and its about 5 miles or so north :)

What's wrong with the black pump.. All us oil burning 4x4 are keeping this winter at bay.....lol

Flitch way is good for a long leg stretch and stamina not much else.. For fun Epping, Danbury and Thorndon are your places..

Round Downhan is nice not many cars on road with pockets of woodland

By reservoir Essex water there 30 hector of land to ride round only thing is its flat but still broken up.
Just off hawkwood rd hanngingfeld

Edit: link not working

Morial park to has small woods

Jump on train 15mins if direct 22 with one change to Brentwood then 1.5 miles ride to Thorndon.

I am moving to Wickford to be near family and friends, its good for work and close to the two gyms I use. My cousin lives in Downham so I know that area a bit, won't be too far from there as I'll be on the wick when I move.

Thanks for the info
