Did have a look but would of got a Whyte 146s. Wanted something that's gonna hold up to some abuse.. 150/147mm travel and in the whytes case carbon frame might not cope.. Not saying I'm a huge monster jumper but I'm looking to learn.

Don t overlook the Remedy they are of the most versatile bikes around. There are loads of remedy's being used for freeride stuff.

Bikeactive.com do 0% finance and they live and breathe bikes. I'd say the Orange Alpine 160 is worth a test ride!

Id agree on the 1st gen remedys. They were deffo DH lite but have since been made more xcish.... 32mm forks n all that. In the current line up the slash / scratch would be more in line with what WhyteBoy seems to be angling for. They are slacker and running 35/36mm forks upfront.

An sx trail is a good bike 2009-2010 ones....(170mm back and 160mm front ) use mine around Broxbourne and wormly woods easy... Also go to chicksands and ride to and from work... Get an 2nd hand one and still have some cash.... just so happerness there's a black 2010 one on eBay now

can't say about the older ones, but the newer ones are 180mm travel...
