As i have not met any of you yet (apart from Chris) i wont recognise anyone :(

Hi, I'm riding a Boardman hardtail. Long hair, goatee and I'll have a Contour head cam on my helmet. Another clue, first digit of my number is 4, yours will be 2.

 Thanks. I'll need it. Bike isn't going to be 100%100 so I have an excuse for bad results :problem:

Does anyone want my place in the 2hr ?
Don't want anything for it, just want to make sure it is used.

Woww!! Great result!
I was the 25th out of 90, which is within the first 33% (my target). Also I managed to do 6 laps in 4 hours and 49 minutes, whereas in other races I did 5 laps (round 1 in 4h 30min, round 2 in 4h 15 min). The length was similar to the other courses so all the training done (did some sprints and steep climbs on my commute ss) between round 2 and 3 worked! Maybe it was a faster course despite loads of climbing. Got past finish line 81 seconds before the 4 hours limit time :D

Felt extremely tired between the end of lap 3 until beginning of lap 5. The climbs were a torture, long, boring and not technical at all. Plenty of grip, Ralphs at the back would have made a big difference. Tons of ££££ 29"ers. Talked to the guy on the Niner SIR rigid ss. I love that bike!! Organization as usual, spot on. Getting off train station was funny, we were a group of 7-9 riders going together to the venue.

Best course was first round and ver close second round one. This one didn't like much. As I said, loads of boring fireroad climbing. I prefer something clever, like sharp ones more technical and not so long, this is not Alps hehe.
However, the last 1/4 of the course was top notch, huge bombholes, berms, technical bits awesome fast descents . That was nuts!

Surprisingly, bike drivetrain was fine. My chain has stretched nearly 1 link. Got a KMC replacement and new jockey wheels. Tried on Wednesday after adjusting gears at LBS and inner chainring was worn out  I couldn't find a replacement on time and had to fit back the old one.

I'm destroyed, my arms, back, arse, legs and neck. But happy!

I enjoyed the course too, but found the lap length too long!

I started nearly dead last in the 2hr men group (literally 4th from the back) so ended up doing my first lap in 57 mins, and my second in 52.
This meant I crossed the line after 1hr49m and really couldn't be arsed doing a third lap. I either need to be a lot slower, or a lot faster!

I've not cycled at all this year so I'm not really bothered; I'm hoping by the end of the year to be much fitter and faster than I am now- and will then also make the effort to get better starts!

Oh, forgot to say that I also had my video camera attached.
I use it mainly for the motorbike but it's a Drift HD and takes a nice picture.
I watched it back last night and it looks ok, but I'm not sure how exciting it is watching me wobble around at 8mph...

2 wheels good, 2 wheels + engine better!
