Hey,

managed to stumble across your forum looking for info on trails starting off from High Beach and seems like you've got a nice biking community going on.

I've only starting riding very recently in Swinley forest with some mates that live that way and always on a hire bike. But three weeks ago I took the plunge, bought myself a Boardman Fi Mountain Bike Comp, with the matching helmet, so I now look "very" cool and want to start finding some more local spots to try out.

In terms of ability - I'm still very much learning so I'm pretty rubbish and go quite slowly, particularly when it's steep / looks scary / or has loads of puddles. But what I lack in ability I'm trying to make up for with enthusiasm.

Haven't checked out High Beech for biking yet, but walking I've seen a few of the trails. Would be good to have some people to ride with who know the area so that I don't get hopelessly lost. Saw there's lots of chat about meeting up most Sundays and thought it sounds fun, as long as I don't hold people up and am not too hungover to get up in time.

I can't do this Sunday's ride as heading to Swinley, but I'll check back next week and hopefully can join in a ride round epping...

Cheers
