Can't believe it's February already - feels like summer's just around the corner - or maybe not having just looked at the weather forecast, anyway .....

Aiming to head out on Thursday evening this week for a night ride in Epping .......

.... as always, open invite to anyone who's keen and happy to adjust the pace appropriately to suit whoever comes out &

Meet: Stubbles Car Park

Car park is at the T-junction of Nursery Road and Connaught Avenue

Ride Time: 8:15pm

Let me know if you'll be there....

I'll be there and see what happens. Mud tyres for frozen conditions, right? I think mud tyres for any condition at Epping Forest during winter

yes, mudx works and speed over the icy sections, its a combo of ice, frozen ground and thick mud out there at the moment. mid-north east is running the best at the mo, more info here

must get lights sorted out and join you for one of these.

UPDATE: its frozen solid, trails are fast and flowy with the odd patch of mud, only gloop is underneath frozen puddles.
enjoy.

The cameras sensor is just not picking up a lot of the light... it doesn't feel that far off riding in the day at times. Im running a hope vision 4 and a light in motion HID - should throw out about 1800 lumens.

Enough for night ride but I don't think I get 1800 lumen

I'm running:

Exposure Maxx D Mk III on bars
Bike Ray II on helmet

plenty of light where you need it i.e. pointing down the trail.
