Hi all,

is this a local forum for local people ?

found this forum whilst searching for places to ride locally (Essex / Cambridge / Kent etc) just built a new bike in time for the weather to turn and make everywhere a complete bog - joy ! so looking for places that hold up well in the wet as i need to dial in my new bike, best done by riding the damn thing !!

Been to Danbury a fair bit last year and got back into the bike bug, used to ride (sponsored) BMX back in the day but trying to get used to bigger wheels now.

the bike ? oh yeah....

Welcome! Can't quite see what bike that is but looks like the perfect steed for all round fun at Danbury.

mixed bag ? possibly....

Triple up front because i bought a Deore groupset and no choice, i plan to fit a bash ring and stinger for a double but the build has done enough damage to the wallet for a month or two !

Suspension seat post, i had one on my old bike and it does help to take the sting out of some harsh landings, crap trails, this one has an Air shock made by a new US company i got it at the London Bike show earlier this year, its been a pain so far to set up, need another ride out on it to get it spot on, or it goes in the bin ! it was cheap as they basically didn't want to carry any parts home with them after the show !

The frame is designed for 140 shocks so thats what i got, but went for some u-turns coil sprung as i cant be faffed putting air back in when it takes a big hit, and the lock out will help me get back up the damn hills LOL

frame is short, i'm only 5'8 i guess ? and like i say, my roots are bmx so i like the cockpit small, makes me feel at home !

thanks for the welcome, i'll try and get my riding buddy on here too, we often ride at Hadleigh Country Park as its on our doorstep, looking to check out cyclopark too in Gravesend when it opens officially ! but also keen to go further a field.
:high5:

Sounds fair enough to me!!!! Yeah only thing i'd possibly do is get the double ring with a device set up front and that would make it a really good all round weapon!

I do like the Dialled bikes! There BMX's are really nice too!!!!

Thought i'd post again here, been posting a lot recently !! really keen to get out but have to juggle work and the missus and decorating etc i normally manage Wed evening and Sat morning with a friend of mine who got me involved in riding again, i used to ride BMX and was sponsored by a LBS (mainly park / ramp demo's and comps) but that was back in the Eighties !!

9-5 is spent in a office for the government <yawn>

spend a lot of time paying with cars, like old VW's, Kustoms, Customs, modified but my first love is Lowriders, this is mine, built from the ground up by myself.....

The missus has a Bay window on the drive i'm currently replacing the bottom 6" all the way round then plan to fit Air ride to it, don't need it dancing about on hydraulics but park and drop is appealing, i sold it to her as 'self levelling' for when we're camping in it ????

Stick a bike rack on it... Then it'll be really practical :-)
