I have this annoying noise coming from my front brake (Formula RX), its like a tinny noise, the same you get if the flick the rotor. It happens when im just riding along and gets louder when I turn, stops when I pull the brake lever. Also happens if you hold the bike on the ground and drag the front wheel towards you. Something must be loose or touching the rotor, I've tried adjusting the caliper to ensure that the pads are not rubbing but this hasnt helped. Does anyone have any other suggestions before I take to a shop for them to look at?
Cheers.

Check your pad wear mate it could be the metal shim rubbing on your disc.

Might have caught the spring holding the pads in when re-placing the front wheel so its touching the disk

You it gets louder when you turn, how about looking at the 6 bolts holding the rotor on, perhaps one of those has come loose allowing the washer to spin/rattle ?

I go with this, take wheel off and check tightness of hub no movement in axle

Its a formula disc 180mm - which is fine, not warped at all and no rubbing.
no movement in the axel either.
im gonna try and change the disc to see if that makes a difference, as a last resort. if not, off to the shop it goes!

Hello mate I'll tell you exactly what it is. Although I have never heard of this on the front this is down to very slight flex when cornering. The r1 rotor, which I am sure you are running, is very thin and light so it will bend slightly too. I have had the same thing mate and no one likes noises but it's characteristic if that rotor. If you do want to stop it get hope or xtr.
