Even though it'll only be getting light use, forks with lots of travel will slacken the head angle past what it was designed for, I wouldn't put downhill forks on my enduro!

You might have issues finding a better shock the right size too, that one looks quite short, putting a longer one in will again change the geometry of the bike.

I don't mean to be so negative, I'm planning on building up a bike myself as I think it'll be great fun, but it'll take a fair amount of time and effort and you might be disappointed with the result in this case.

I would seriously consider the Orange if i were you, purely on the basis that you value your life enough not to risk dropping off anything more than a curb on an Apollo. The first decent drop or jump you land you are likely to impale yourself on the fork steerer.

I understand where you're coming from and being keen is great, don't let it slip but the guys here are making very valid comments and are worth listening too, if you bought all new components for that frame you'd be throwing good money after bad chasing an impossible dream! spend your money wisely.

I built my bike up from scratch and i love it, really recommend it, but be honest with yourself.

Dude look on pinkbike,cheap downhillers complete or frames...older specialized big hits are real cheap...saw a frame for180!!worth waiting
