The Leap of Faith bit you mention (my pic below) was only one of two bits that were actually NOT in the Sally Army private land so you could in theory ride it (although a big wooden post appeared) however big fencing has gone up all around the area so you cant even get close.

Having said that it does look possible that you may just about be able to see riders briefly zoom past if you stand at point 5c, dont count on it though.

It really is a strange location in that none of the track can be seen from outside at all.

:D Hey Olympics mtb friends :D
In the moment i live nearly about 380miles from Hadleigh Farm and it`s really funny to discover each week
new picture and news from the Olympic area.

Today i descried a 360 Panorama aerial picture from the entree this contest.
In the moment it doesn`t semmed to be welcoming.
it was been taken on the 28.03.2012

It`s a lot of hard work to build fences all around the area.

Trees for residents, not just Olympics

I find this decision strange as there has been a tree planting programme for the past three years on Canvey, suggested by residents at neighbourhood forums, to improve the environment.

All of this has been stopped now, with no promise of being reintroduced.

Why is it only necessary to plant trees because we have the Olympic biking event coming to Hadleigh for a few weeks? Surely it’s more important to improve the local environment for our residents to enjoy.

In this jubilee year, the Government has asked for three million trees to be planted around the country.

I think the quiest route to London centrum is over the Oueen Elizabeth Brigde (Dartford tunnel)

You will not be flavour of the month if you try crossing the bridge, its a 4 lane dual carriageway. I dont know the details but I believe you can go to the control room off to one side at the start of the bridge and they will ferry you over.

Section A10

http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/projec ... heCrossing?

as mentioned above go to the crossing control and they will ferry you over. They have 4x4's going back and forth all the time and it is free

:D Hi,I`m looking a curltailment from Hadleigh castle to Corringham.
I think to cycle over Pitsea is a devious route

How is the sound to cross the river by Fobbing horse (Barrier)

Image

If i`m cycle from Hadleigh castle over the Barrier Bentfleet creek and keep going to WKS
and get down to Northwick cross the barrier over there and keep left to Fobbing horse
there is a Barrier and i don?t know if I`m able to cross this point to get to Corringham???

?

What a shame The short cut over Foobing horse Barrier looks so tempting.
Barrier is not like a brigde It is the most of the time the end of the road.

@ AgentOrange
I`ve got more details for transportation at the Dartford Crossing.

We do offer free transportation over the bridge / through the tunnel to cyclists. This service operates 24/7
You don’t need to book, but you should allow a good 20 minutes as sometimes the vehicle is otherwise engaged.
Pickup points are:
Essex Point Control Building – accessed from:
The cycle track from Junction 31 southbound - adjacent to A282 main carriageway;
London Road adjacent to Ibis Hotel up the slip road – northbound.
Kent Point Control Building – accessed from:
The cycle route from Junction 1a northbound - adjacent to Holiday Inn Express – to Kent Marshalling Area adjacent to Kent Point Control Building.

More information about the impacts to walking and cycling during the Games will be available soon. To keep up to date on information on our website, follow us on Twitter @GAOTG or sign up for TfL Games email alerts.

Just had a look at the satelite, image. on the map it looks like you could ride the tracks over the barriers but they are flood defense barriers and fenced off. the second one appears to be part of a building so unlikely that you would be able to cross even if you did find a way around the fences ;)

Indeed..money grabbing gits.

Although there is a 'second chance' coming up on 17th to buy tickets, (if you lost out previously), I aim to be in Morzine then anyway but may buy a ticket or two in case that falls through.
