They were all pretty good. One of the guys should've definitely been racing in the senior.. he was on the Curtis Bikes team, but apparently didn't get his race license in time..

But he fell off and hurt himself, so he couldn't carry on! To be honest mate, everyone there was in it to win it.. I never got 1 snap out of the gate because of my single speed.. but what I lacked in gears, I made up for in stupidity.

It worked out pretty good though, because I always started last, but not once did i finish last. I even won the won that mattered.. from a 150metre deficit! And all I did there was take my finger off the brake and send the jumps as quick and as hard as I could!!

I just wanted a podium finish, so I took calculated risks..

but again, to be honest.. I wouldn't have been to heart broken if i didn't, I had such a good time.. I'd still enter again if I came last in everything!

Was a fantasticly sloppy and muddy day but so much fun to race and taking home 3rd in Senior was just the icing on the cake!!!!

nwmlarge - ID-ing every rider might be a bit time-consuming, I know what you mean, but there must be one or two hundred riders in all the different clips! Not sure I have that much patience!





Did you like the marshall right at the end, who was very seriously (and completely un-ironically) saying "come on mate, pedal" to every rider that came past?

And Ben, what were you wearing when you weren't racing? By the sounds of you yelling 'Come on Hillyard' into my mic, we must have been pretty close

I was wearing my race gear mate.. I'm pretty stealthy.. All my gear's black!! Which doesn't help much I know

I had to scream.. Matt was on a scorcher all day!!

I honestly thought he was going to win his group.. But when I spoke to him before his final, he seemed to be a little disillusioned..

To be fair.. we were all completely shattered by then, but I think if he kept that winning state of mind he'd of had that
