Yea the loop is good, about 10 miles or so and some good ups and downs... twisty and flows really well.

Here's the route via endomondo (if the link works ;) ) http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/uS6R2-N_mpc

If you can get the gpx from the above or pm me and i'll send it to you...

There's some excellent singletrack in Thrift wood that can extend that loop a bit. Watch out with Blakes Wood though, it's on the "cheeky" side as it's only footpath and there has been some confrontations with walkers in there.

yea we are always nice to the walkers and dog walkers please and thank you goes a long way ;-) but do sneak in their and quickly through has some good sections and logs to jump over (helpfully placed on track????)

Nicely warms up the legs before doing some Danbury circuits

Always up for learning more of a route. Can do a nice ride up from chelmsford upto danbury that takes in some of the loop...

Start on the common. Car park is the same as the jumpy stuff: http://www.essexhertsmtb.co.uk/mtb-trails/danbury.php

not on my laptop so can't post a map link via iPhone, but links above will have parking location for sure, carpark most use is on the common and easy ride into Danbury wood section... We all start here (look at the Endomondo linky I did) for the xc route...
