That's great thanks. See you then, I will be in a white transit van. The weather is not meant to be great tomorrow - not that it will put me off, but if you cant make it could you post on this thread so I know not to make the journey.

Just checked the forecast and by 10am I think the rain would of stopped so we might be ok - according to the forecast anyway See you at the car park 9.45. I will check this thread before leaving just in case. Cheers

Cracking Weather! I will have to leave mine by 8.15am as I have to get fuel. If I don't hear anything from anyone prior to that I'm on my way!

OMG....

I have never been so wet in my life, but what a laugh we had

Was a pleasure to meet Dan today and hook up with Steve again

Dan introduced me and Steve to the downhill runs, after standing at the top of one of the deep drops for what seemed like an eternity we both finally plucked up the courage to give it a go, after that there was no stopping us

I can't wait to give it a try in the dry, we then did a bit of XC over a couple of other woods, including me unsuccessfully trying to cycle up a vertical hill which equalled me in bush with bike on chest :/


........just a thought does anyone wanna swap their full suss for my 6 week old Spech hard tail

Hi Chaps, Good to meet you two and it was a great ride but seriously wet and muddy!. nice to meet a couple of riders that don't let a little bit of rain hold you back . My bike is already fully cleaned after today's adventure! just need to sort myself out now lol! I'll keep my eyes open for the next ride.

Yeah great fun lads, good to meet up even tho the weather was pretty awful! But next time I will be fully prepared. Honest!!

Had an early one over Thorndon/Warley (7.30) and it was pretty muddy but a lot of fun!! The rain is making the tree branches hang low and i caught one on my face, giving me a lovely scratch from my nose across to my ear!!

Met a guy in the South car park (think he was driving a blue Renault Scenic) and he had a white Specialized downhill rig but i didn't look at what model it was. Sent him over to Warley gap to, hopefully, meet up with you guys. Did he make it?
