That was good fun.... the hills were good, hard work on the singlespeed though....

I know next time to start nearer to the front as spent the first few laps going past people, which was difficult anywhere other than the final uphill stretch.

I've really got to learn how to ride downhills and to corner properly though....

Course was good. Dry, considering the down pour.

Probably my best effort so far and then started a slow puncture on third lap and eventually had to call it a day cause my tyre eventually peeled off. So I missed out on lap.

Looking forward to next week.

Shame a puncture ruined your race Noel.

Preferred the course last week to be honest.... started too far back again, and being on the singlespeed spun out on all the flats/descents, didn't find any confidence cornering on the wet grass either... The hills were too narrow, short and steep for me to make much time up. The singletrack descents into the woods were good fun!

I'm quickly feeling that ss is not the way forward for these events.... or is that just me making excuses! (probably yes to both)
