Yep, had a fettle with the bike some more, converted the tyres to tubeless - which was an absolute s**t to do compared to when I did the Rhythms on the Trek. Also, Middleburn 24 and 34 tooth chainrings fitted, along with a 32-11 XT cassette, so should be geared a bit more all round, plus chucked on a XT rear mech, as you do. Then I've changed the saddle as the Lapierre one was like string on a brick, and also fitted few red Superstar bits and a rd Hope Head Doctor....

Just need to have a break from the crap weather and get some proper riding done!!!!

:high5:

Second that on the spicy saddles. probably the most uncomfortable saddle i have ever sat on, the pointy bits on the back tore the crotch out of my singletracks and the lever on my joplin got jammed every time i dropped the saddle. first thing i changed on mine.

I bought a Selle Italia jobby from Decathlon.... Light weight XC thing , and its still more comfortable than the Lap's.

Took it for a spin tonight after this weekend's soggy one, and came home with a creeking chain stay bush. Had a look on line, and apparently quite common on Laps, so watch out on them wet rides in sandy conditions, it's there Achilles heel, apparently.... :(

Not to worry though, bushes look a doddle to do :)
