Right as some of you no i bought a DH bike about a month ago, took a bit of a punt at the time as it was borderline a bit big for me but thought id give it a go..

well after a months riding my bike and yesterday borrowing Dazzers new bike a Scott Voltage in a size small and hitting some jumps over Danbury on his i found i was jumping way better on his bike and felt much more in control of the smaller bike and was able to really lift the bike in the air, so i think my Scott will have to go and for me to look at another smaller bike..

so im thinking sell my custom Scott High Octane and look out for a Voltage as i know it fits me well and filled me with confidence, or a plan B option to maybe get a one bike does it all and sell my scott DH bike and my Zesty 514 :o and perhaps go for an Orange 5 with a coil shock and adjustable forks say 120-180 so can use for XC and DH/free ride plus Wales trips etc, ..

what the panel think?

Depends on how much certain riding you do, as you saw dazzers bike handles places like danbury well, and would also do XC well, so you could get an AM bike, just depends on how serious you are about DH, if not so serious then certainly doesnt matter about owning one, either way by how you felt yday you definately want to sell your current bike!

Doing a lot more free riding now days but not really full on DH just Danbury and Chicksands etc and table tops doubles and drops etc, my current rig is much more full on DH with double crown shiver forks and is very slack etc so bit of an overkill for what im doing. also i do a lot of XC riding often a lot of miles too so a Voltage like Dazzers wouldnt really be up for that as it has a lot of travel but no lock out but thats were my other bike comes in a Zesty 514 which is a great XC bike so would have both..

as i say option B would be a heavy duty AM bike with adjustable forks so could do the freeride/DH and the XC but that would mean parting with my beloved Zesty...

plan C could buy a small frame and spilt my rig and build up another from the parks then sell the frame...

yeah thats an idea Clint, to be honest i dont see me letting the Zesty go anyway, most prob just sell and buy or swap the DH bike for a smaller one. Ideally id like the 2011 Voltage FR20 in the lime green

Why not fit a pair of Fox 36's to the Zesty & some stronger wheels.... Basically tune it up to Spicy spec.

I'd sell the green bike and get a voltage it is such a well put together bike. It was on my short list before I bought my pitch
