Hi all,

I'm pretty sure the bottom bracket needs replacing. Never seen one before  and contacted shop where I bought the bike - Halfords - and they told me the only thing I could do is go to Halfords and order one. I asked which model or upgrades available but they said nothing.
Ok, I have limited access to internet. The bb I've got I thinks is truvativ BB30

Found this article in Bikeradar:
Workshop: How to service BB30 & Press-Fit bottom brackets
http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/w ... ets-29544/

Please, give me good luck :p

If you don't mind me asking, what makes you think it needs replacing?

Mine was making a crap load of noise, I pulled it out, gave it a thorough clean, re-grease, put it back, and hey presto, running like a dream.

I got plenty of advice from here as I was thinking much the same as you.

2 months ago it was cleaned, new bearings fitted and regreased. 1 month ago there was some play in the axle and it was cleaned but not as previously.
Today for the last hour was kind of jumping, spinning much, like when the chain skips some teeth when put some torque. Never happened before. It makes noise and there's some play in the axle.

Tomorrow morning Iit's my turn if I can service or I'll end up in the shop.

First thought was getting new one but after the link in bikeradar I'll give it a go

As soon as I removed the chain I realized the problem is the superleggera hub. I removed part of it but I think I have to go deeper into it. Currently surfing grrrrr

And yes, I'll get a new bb sooner or later, but not from Halfrauds. Still lots and lots of hard stuff to ride :D
