A 10mm Allen key is a great replacement for the spacer.

Currently feeling rather pleased with my self having stripped off the old brakes and installed the new SLX one tonight. liking the feel of the small leavers.

Bit nervious for tommorow when I will be trying to not make a hash of cuttung the cables back and swapping the leavers round.

Good set of cable cutters (I have shimano ones), a vice and a metal hammer is all you need. Keep the open end higher than the caliper and you'll be fine.
