What's your current whip?

might be worth investing in skills course with Tony at UKbikeskills instead to bring you up to standard?

What's you're current bike and its spec? Perhaps we could suggest upgrades to that or find a 2nd hand machine to suit you budget.
Don't think you have to worry about joining in a ride and holding everyone back! We're a friendly lot and will never leave anyone behind.

A little off topic but if your looking for knee and shin pads have a look at these (nukeproof critical knee and shin). I picked up a set a month or so ago and they are brilliant they have the stick on and forget factor which is awesome not a bad price as well.

Yeah you need an upgrade. I would look for something 2nd hand or at a push a new sale model such as the Specialised Hardrock (disc or pro if you can find one in budget). XC only?

Cycles uk has the hardrock sport disc for £400 at the moment which is the hydrolic disc version, or the mechanical disc version for £352

Branches in Romford and basildon probably the nearest to you
