Lovely ride today at Bedgebury, I'm definitely up for doing this again soon. Very nice trails, Gloomy Wood nowhere near as gloomy as it made out and Cardiac very much heart attack hill. Brilliant last run back to the cafe to make up for a couple of uphilly trails towards the end.

Thanks to all for a good-paced, fun ride!

Great Day today; lovely ride - gloomy wood probably my favorite section. Thanks to all who came (especially Phin who carried my baggage with not a word of complaint).

Good company and a nice relaxed ride that I could almost keep up with (fortunately nobody seemed to mind waiting)! Hope to do it again soon. Bedgebury was definately a hit and I will be back there again without doubt!

Mike

yeah that did me in and the last sections finished me.

All told it was really enjoyable ride with good company. I recon I may spend a fair bit of timeover there.

loaded up the route and it shows just over 1000ft of climbing and more importantly a similar amount of decending

Wasn't too bad at all. There was one run and a bit in between runs that we're fairly muddy but considering the amount of rain in the days before it was pretty ok...

Made a return trip to Bedgebury today trails area all bone dry.

Im proper impressed with myself - managed to ride the whole route including cardiac hill. Place was a complete contrast to last week. only 20 or so cars mostly riders compared to the hords last week. still ended up queueing to get back through the tunnel though.
what is that all about, 2pm and its as bad as rush hour, into kent was queing all the way back to brentwood.

yes mate, woke up this morning and as it was such a nice day decided I had done enough DIY, had to collect some stuff from Dartford so chucked the bike on the roof.

Yep got the brakes fitted and they are excellent. I stripped off the discs and gave them a complete clean up before fitting the new calipers and swapping the leavers. Trimming the cables wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.
Loving the one finger braking levers
